The short version
HoursToDecimals runs entirely in your browser. The times, rates and dates you enter are never sent to us. There are no accounts, and this version of the site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
What stays on your device
To save you retyping, each calculator remembers your last inputs in your browser's local storage (entries whose names start with "timedecimal:"). This data never leaves your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or by using the Clear buttons in the tools. If your browser blocks local storage, the tools still work; they just won't remember anything.
Hosting and server logs
The site is delivered by a hosting provider. Like any web host, it may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site, keep it secure and measure capacity. We do not receive your calculator inputs in these logs because they are never part of a request.
Analytics
This version does not include analytics. If privacy-friendly analytics are added later, this page will be updated to say what is measured and why.
Advertising and affiliate links
The site may in future show ads or affiliate links. Affiliate links are clearly labelled "Sponsored"; if you follow one, the other company may set cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Children
The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.
